This artwork depicts some village homes, mountainous terrain, and brave sailboats waiting for their chance to head down river. The scene is typical of what you might see in the Sichuan province of Southern China.
This work was done by 玉城 or Yù Chéng (Using English pronciation, this would be a bit like "You Chung").
When I returned to Beijing with this artwork, I had it mounted as a traditional hand-made silk scroll in my workshop. This makes a nice, ready-to-hang piece of wonderful hand-painted art.
