Reddish-Pink and Yellow Plum Blossom Wall Scroll

This is a very traditional and sophisticated scroll.

The Chinese characters include the year painted (2007), the artist's signature red stamp, and an old Chinese poem about plum blossoms.

This is a freehand style painting by Xiao Chun, a friend of Huang Xin-An in Chengdu.

Materials used in this work are watercolor and special black Chinese ink on xuan paper (rice paper). Later I had the painting mounted to a silk wall scroll.
