This classically-antiqued wall scroll gives a glimpse into the simplicity of ancient Chinese artwork.
This artwork was painted on tea-stained paper (staining paper with tea to give it some character has been a popular practice in Chinese since before the Qing Dynasty). The background has a natural un-even coloration, like an antique piece of artwork. However, this was painted in 2006 by artist Wu Hong-Tang of Sichuan Province.
