This depicts the Sichuan province of Southern China. There are many mountains, rivers, and waterfalls in this part of China.
In this painting, you will see a waterfall and a pagoda. Look closer and you will see a little person is standing in the pagoda, taking in the view.
This work was done by 玉城 or Yù Chéng (Using English pronciation, this would be a bit like "You Chung").
When I returned to Beijing with this artwork, I had it mounted as a traditional hand-made silk scroll in my workshop. This makes a nice, ready-to-hang piece of wonderful hand-painted art.
