This is a great painting - I just wish I had some wall space left in my own home for this piece. When I saw this landscape, I had to buy it. In fact, I liked this art so much that I bought several landscape paintings from this artist and his brother, but each one is totally unique, and one-of-a-kind.

This is painted on special rice paper then mounted to a thicker paper backing with white silk matting/border.

The artist of this work is Zhang Fa Chang but he signs most of his work under his pen name of Zhang Song Ping. He was born in Guilin in the Guangxi Province of Southern China.

I met the artist and his wife during this past February in Guilin when I headed south to get away from the cold weather of Beijing.

Both the Zhang Fa Chang and his younger brother, Zhang Fa Gui worked on this large piece of artwork. Each of them spending a full day of work to bring out the color and detail that you see above.
