Ultra Thin Plum Blossom Wall Scroll

The title of this piece, written in Chinese, means "Announcing the Coming Spring".

We're kind of experimenting with this very thin and long wall scroll format. If you have a narrow spot for a piece of artwork, this might be it.

This was painted by my friend Zhang Qiang who currently lives in Beijing and manages the Xiao Meng gallery. His signature follows the title written on this artwork.

Materials used in this work are watercolors and special black Chinese ink on xuan paper (rice paper). Later I had the painting mounted to a handmade wall scroll at our workshop in Beijing.
