Written on this artwork, along with the artist's signature is a long poem about plum blossoms. It's a bit too long to translate from Chinese to English (poems take a lot of effort - probably an hour or more in this case, so you'll just have to use your imagination).
This artwork has a very classic look. It is painted on tan xuan paper with embedded gold flecks. It was then mounted as a handmade crisp white silk brocade wall scroll in our workshop. The paper is handmade, and has various artifacts proving this fact.
This piece was painted by Lin Yun who lives in a village near Jinan in the Shandong Province of Northern China.
