Close up view of the artwork mounted to this silk brocade wall scroll
This premium wall scroll features a carefully restored reproduction of a Gohonzon mandala in the style used by Soka Gakkai International (SGI) practitioners. The artwork is reproduced as a fine-art giclée print on handmade Japanese Unryu paper, mounted in shimmering blue-gold silk brocade to reflect both devotion and quality craftsmanship.
The central inscription “Nam-myōhō-renge-kyō” anchors the mandala, surrounded by the flowing calligraphic inscriptions representing the life of Buddhahood inherent in all of us. The handmade Unryu paper gives each piece a unique texture and depth. At the same time, the giclée process faithfully captures every brushstroke—creating a piece that honors spiritual tradition and elevated aesthetics.
Mounted in an elegant blue-gold silk brocade, the scroll presents a living surface: in certain light it appears deep blue with gold accents, in other light it shifts to golden with subtle blue undertones. The interplay of color and fabric adds contemplative presence to any altar or display space.
This reproduction is intended as a visual and devotional aid for those inspired by the SGI-style Gohonzon tradition. While not officially issued by SGI or consecrated by a priest of the sect, it is crafted with respect for the mandala's form and meaning. Practitioners are welcome to use it as a focus of personal chanting, contemplation, and dedication, with the awareness that true power lies in one’s faith, practice, and inner transformation—not merely the physical scroll.
