Honor the Meiji period legacy of Nichiren Buddhism with this moving Gohonzon reproduction, produced as a fine-art giclée on handmade Japanese Unryu paper. Based on a manuscript believed to date to 1900, this edition preserves the grace and authority of a historic Nichiren-Shu altar scroll.
Each character and sacred inscription has been carefully clarified from the aged original while respecting its traditional brush energy. The natural fibers of Unryu (“cloud-dragon”) paper lend a subtle, floating texture that glows beneath the deep black ink. High-resolution giclée printing renders every nuance so the devotional presence of the mandala truly comes forward.
The mounting features a distinctive blue-gold silk brocade with classic Japanese motifs. Under different angles of light, the textile shifts—now reading as rich blue threaded with gold, now as warm gold touched with cool blue—giving the scroll a serene, contemplative shimmer.
Ideal for a home altar or a refined Japanese art display, this piece bridges spiritual practice and fine craftsmanship. Each scroll is assembled with care and reverence to honor its Meiji-era source while offering durability for modern display.
