Wow, this reminds me of the old days. When I was a Marine platoon sergeant, this is almost what my troops had etched on a glass beer stein for me as a gift. The whole phrase was, "Warrior-Philosopher, Gentleman-Prick". I still have it, nearly 15 years later.

Anyway, this warrior scholar title is a little tricky, but after talking to the native Chinese translator, we've agreed this is the best way:
武 Warrior Essence / Warrior Spirit / Martial
學 Study / Learn / School
家 Family / Home Alone, this character means "family" or "home", but when combined with study/learn, it becomes part of a two-character word meaning "scholar".
