Japanese Kanji for a tattoo

Post by osumisan » Feb 12, 2015 7:19 am

Hi Gary,
You helped me with some Kanji for a tattoo design and I need it again for a proverb. The proverb quotes "Without struggle, there is no progress". Can you help me with this?

Thanks in advance,
Jon Osumi

Hi, Just following up on my post from last week. Is this web site still operating? I sent $45 via Paypal have not received any acknowledgement, confirmation or even a reply to my post from February 12th but did receive notice that my funds were received.

Thanks,
Jon

Hello Kyle,

I don't know what is going on. I sent 3 emails. I better just post my question here:

There are so many ways to say "integrity" in Japanese, that I think I need you to tell me which one fits your idea best from the ones on this page:
http://www.orientaloutpost.com/shufa.php?q=japanese+integrity

Cheers,
-Gary.

I think the 2nd option is the best fit on the link you sent me.

Dignity / Honor / Sanctity / Integrity

thanks for your reply!

Hi Gary,
You sent me an email with a question and I responded a few days back but it seems the emails are getting lost for some reason. Can we continue the dialog here. My last response was:

Hi Gary,
Below is the translation that I like the best. Can we go with that? Sorry on the late reply, the emails are going to my spam box for some reason.

Thanks again,
Jon

失敗は成功の基 or 失敗は成功の元 = Failure teaches success; Failure is a stepping-stone to success (in this case, the "failure" can also translate as "struggle"

I just want to follow up. Did you get my email with the links to your tattoo templates? (I gave you two good versions for you to choose from).
