Paintings by Mo Nong

Post by Deb Wong » Jun 30, 2013 4:41 pm

Hi, Gary - I would like to purchase some paintings by Mo Nong. Unfortunately, the ones currently available are not suitable. The ones I like have been sold. When will you have more of his paintings and can he paint larger sizes? Thank you.

I just flew to China this morning, and one of the main reasons is to acquire more of these Mo Nong paintings. I will need to get them mounted, so it will still be over a month before they are ready for sale.

Yours,
-Gary.

Fantastic news - I am looking forward to seeing more inventory. Would you be so kind as to let me know when they have been listed, just so I don't forget to check in on time. They are just fun paintings - I have a few from previous years.

Thank you, Gary
Best regards,
Deborah

I actually have a bunch that I have not listed yet. I just need to come up with titles, and time to list them. But take a look and see if you like any of them. Note the file number/name if you want any of these. Some of the ones with notes may have blemishes and will be discounted. Some are in code, so pf = paper flaw, rg = red ghost.

The second set below are new "Lao Beijing" or "Old Peking" paintings.

I bought just about everything Mo Nong had in stock. This included some pieces that were more than double the size by area (50cm x 50cm instead of 33cm x 33cm).

Basically, I have a little over 300 pieces, and spent something like $5000 today. Now they need to get mounted to thicken the paper, and add the silk borders. They are on the way to my workshop now.

I also got some more information about the artist to share. But I need to translate that biographic info from Chinese to English.

Gary, that's fantastic news. I was hoping there would be some paintings of larger dimensions, now hopefully they will be in the colours I have in mind. Can't wait to see the listings. Pl be so kind as to give me a head's up when they are ready so I can start shopping.

Regards,
Deborah

These won't make it to San Diego with me on Monday. I'm probably heading back to Beijing in August, and returning to the USA September 1st, so it's likely I'll have them in San Diego at that time. It's not a fast process to get these through my photo studio once they arrive, so please be patient.

Hi, Gary - I sent this message to you many days ago but have not had a reply. I can`t order them on your website as I have no catalogue order no. to put in the shopping cart.
Here is my email again and I look forward to hearing from you soon as to to order and pay for these paintings. Thanks. I will also post this on the other form for Mo Nong paintings.

Thanks,
Deborah

Hi, Gary - I have decided that for now I will order some paintings from the email below (yours of July 6). Could you please let me know to proceed - how do I pay for them if they are not on your website and I can't put them in the cart?

I confirm the Mo Nong paintings I would like to order now are: (these are in the list of inventory you sent to me in July 6 and which you said you had on hand but had not assigned titles to them yet. I take that to me that they are on hand to be shipped.

1. 13323
2. 13325
3. 13342
4. 13349
5. 13353
6. 13340

7. Also I would like to order a painting from the S. Chinese Folk Art and Batik category
The title is "Red Hot Chili Peppers" and the artist is Cao Quan-Tang.

Could you please let me know the total cost and mode of payment (I can use Paypal) and how long you estimate delivery time to be.

Thank you, Gary. Looking forward to seeing the rest of the Mo-Nong paintings when they are ready. Please email me at that time.

Regards,
Deborah

Sorry for the delay.

I've sent a Paypal invoice for the paintings you wanted. I also discounted the invoice, giving you one of your paintings for free to make up for the delay.

My military duty is supposed to be reserve, but has taken most of my time lately. To be honest, in the time I had to work here, I did all the projects "of least resistance" or rather, "the easy ones". Yours was a little harder so I put it off (didn't realize how many times I'd put it off). Hopefully next week I can stop working 16 hours per day, and get more done with my business.

Yours,
-Gary.

These will go out by air mail to Canada today (technically, "First Class International Parcel").

They should be there in 4-6 postal days.
