Pricing for now.

Post by PTdesign » Jun 8, 2011 6:55 pm

I am a College Art Student. I am currently looking for a way to mount at the moment 3 pieces of rice paper. These will be displayed in my senior exhibition in the coming fall semester, if of course I have the money to do this.

If you could give me an estimate and or let me know if this is possible. Thank you!

You're looking at around $64.88 each for this size (if you want some extra features, that can increase the cost).
We charge just a flat rate shipping fee (the actual cost of postage from China is buried in the price for mounting). Here's what you are looking at for all three pieces:

$64.88
$64.88
$64.88
$9.80 Shipping Fee
---------------------
$204.44 Total

That isn't too bad at all. I will probably place an order within the next few weeks. Is there a place I can go for information on placing an order?

I've taken your images and re-formated them to work with my "online mockup and ordering system". This will allow you to see what different colors and options might look like with your artwork. It took me a bit of effort to make this happen, so I'm hoping you'll be following through with this project.

By the way, I gave you the prices for blank wall scrolls in this size. It's actually $67.88 each for custom mounted artwork ($3 more). It's actually a lot more work and risk for us when we mount a customer's artwork. We offer this as a courtesy service, as it doesn't make much if any profit.
If you ever want to buy blank custom wall scrolls, you can do that here:

After you place your order, please follow the instructions here for sending your artwork to our workshop in Beijing:

Be sure to see the insurance policy below the main post on that page.

Oh sorry for the extra work! Yes I will be following through with this order. The additional charge for my art work not a problem.

Sounds good. I got your order, so we'll get that all set for you. Feel free to post your tracking number here after you ship these. I'll track it from the Chinese side just to keep an eye on it.

I wasn't given a tracking number that I know of. Was able to get it mailed on the 20th. Everything seemed to clear at the post office though so I will hope for the best.

Thanks again

Sounds good.

Just to confirm, I saw your note about the orientation of one of the paintings. Is this now correct?

No, the central abstract white mass should be at the bottom.
or closer to the bottom.
The picture I see it is still at the top.

There are 2 red ink chop marks one in the lower left and the other in the upper right. The one in the upper right is kind of hidden in the Blue.
The Chops read 東明.

Hope that helps a little.

I can't post any more pictures.

Hopefully that helps.[/img]

OK, I turned the image 180 degrees from the image you posted first. I think you're just seeing the smaller image I first made still in your browser cache.

The white swirl is at the bottom now in the image they will see in Beijing on our order tracking system. Plus they will see the orientation of the Chinese characters in the red chop marks.

We should be all set.

Do you have any kind of confirmation if my paintings have made it to your workshop?

I have no way of knowing on my end. This isn't so important just would relieve a few worries.

Was told 6-10 days I mailed at 5 on June 20th.

Thanks.

I'll make a phone call to Beijing and see. Nobody in the shop on the weekend, so I'll call during the holiday on Monday.

So I have received 2/3 of my paintings I am very happy with the results thank you!

I am giving the third one a couple days still in case it got held up somewhere. I am not absolutely sure.

Again thank you and I hope the 3 painting shows up soon.

For my order I received 1/3 and 3/3, 2/3 is at the moment missing.

We just did not have the right box to send them all together at the same time. This is really bad for us, as it's extremely expensive to ship them this way.

I just tracked all three packages. It looks like the first two were delivered on the 8th. The third is probably held up in U.S. Customs, as it doesn't look like it's in Kansas yet.

That registered mail item number is RR654887660CN

Please confirm that the ones you received were RR654887758CN and RR654887673CN as this will help me to confirm which one is missing when I trace this via China Post. They hate it when I give them an incorrect number.

I just sent a message to Beijing to have them double check all info and see if there was anything special about this third package.

I have RR654887673CN, RR654887758CN. Thanks for letting me know about the third one... It is kind of strange getting 2 but not the 3rd one.

Again thank you for this service it has proven to be very useful!

We sent them all on the same day at the same time. Surprisingly, it's not uncommon for things to be delivered on different days. Beyond the extra postage we paid for, I hate sending separate packages to the same customer. If they were all early or all late, you really would not have known anything was out of the ordinary. But because two arrived and not the third, it creates this awkward situation.

Good to know. We send out huge boxes to ourselves from Beijing to San Diego. I've had packages send the same day arrive more than a week apart. It freaked me out the first time it happened. I've been doing this for 9 years now, so very few postal issues surprise or alarm me anymore.

Cheers,
-Gary.
