scroll width

Hey Gary,
I have a client that would like a scroll, but their vertical space can't accommodate anything that is wider than 18" (from knob tip to knob tip). Is this A) possible to make a scroll this narrow and B) if so, how wide do you recommend making the art itself in order to accommodate this dimension?

thanks!
Greg

Gah, sorry mate, I meant HORIZONTAL space, not vertical space. As in the scroll can't be wider than 18" from knob tip to knob tip.

The knobs and silk borders come to 19cm or about 7.5"
So, to keep it in inches, 18 - 7.5 = a paper width of 10.5"

Cheers,
-Gary.

OK cool thanks. I'll stick to that dimension.

I'm also wondering if it is possible when I submit the order for you to make a note for the mounters that the rollers can't be wider than 18". I just don't want to get it back to have the client reject it because it was mounted wider than it should have been. Probably all standard stuff for you, just wanting to make sure.

thanks
Greg

Yes, we can do that. For a margin of safety, be sure not to make it wider than 10.5" (it will be trimmed down to about 10" wide anyway). So that will give you about 17.5" at the ends of the knobs.
