Necklace Carving Translation

Post by autumn99 » Nov 18, 2012 11:32 am

My boyfriend has a necklace he bought in Mexico, and was told the symbols were Mayan. To me they look like Chinese, so I was hoping to get a translation. Any help appreciated.

I'm afraid that while some of the characters look like they are almost Chinese or Japanese, they're not. Even if you try to make sense of the characters they almost look like, you get nonsense. This is just a necklace made to look like it was Chinese or Japanese.

This is more common than you might think. Things are made all the time with fake or meaningless groups of characters. Somebody bought me a "Chinese" bedspread one time that said, "Water happiness wind dog grasshopper".

Sorry that I don't have better news.
