This mod is being retired

It had a good run (for 9 years), but recent changes to the USPS Click-n-Ship website have made it impossible to upload label information from an outside source.

I suggest you get an account with Stamps.com for $15.95 per month. You can click "Billing Details" or "Shipping Details" from your ECT order view, and with a quick Ctrl-C to copy and then a Ctrl-V to paste into Stamps.com, you'd be making labels quickly.

Please complain to USPS about the changes. That's the only thing that might bring this back.

USPS Click-n-Ship Mod for Ecommerce Templates

USPS Click-n-Ship for ECT

This mod is for PHP versions only.
Do not buy this if you own an ASP template!

If you are tired of copying and pasting your order info into the USPS Click-n-Ship website, here is the solution!

This is the result of spending a lot of effort trying to find a solution in the form of a script, macro, or other way to save time (other than spending $15-30 per month for Stamps.com or endicia.com fees).

6.1.1 Now ready for download!

Features:

1. View the details of any order, and in one click, all address data is transferred to the USPS website.

2. You can select to have the customer's email address transmitted so they automatically get the delivery confirmation number (sometimes called the "tracking number").

3. Your order number in ECT becomes the reference number for the Click-n-Ship label.

4. Automatically detects if the customer has included a shipping address, and selects the appropriate address (billing or shipping) to transmit to the USPS website.

5. Domestic Shipping by Priority Mail or Express Mail is supported by the Click-n-Ship website.

6. Fully supports international shipments to 224 countries and territories around the world via Priority Mail International or Express Mail International (EMS).

7. Automatically fills out computer-generated customs form for use with First Class Mail International (much cheaper for packages under 2 lbs).

8. USPS sign-in link is included on each order details page in case you get logged-out by USPS.

9. Supports verbose or two-letter state abbreviation mode in ECT.

10. When a customer uses "Address Line One" for a business name, and "Address Line Two" for the actual address, this mod adjusts the data so you don't have to.

Here are the instructions and info you need to know:

After you make your purchase, you will be given a link where you can download a new incorders.php file, along with a info file that you'll need to enter your return address into.
Upload these files to your /vsadmin/inc/ folder. That's it!

When you look at a customer's order in the order details page, just click on the "Ship via USPS" button which will now appear in the upper left-hand corner of the order info table.

This will open another browser window for the usps.com label entry page. When you are doing a batch of labels, just sign in when you first open this page (I will suppose that you already have a USPS account). You'll stay signed in as you process more labels (as long a you enter one every 5 minutes or so per the way the usps.com website works). All labels that you processed will be saved if the usps.com site logs you off.

Just enter the pounds and ounces, and click continue to decide whether to use various Priority Mail, or Express Mail options (New mod version supports international versions of these services).

This mod pre-selects that you will be shipping from the same zipcode as your return address, and that you want to notify your customer via email about shipment of their order. If that does not apply to you, these preferences can be easily changed in the info file (instructions are in that file which is included with your purchase).

This mod also checks to see if the customer has selected a shipping address in addition to a billing address. It will automatically enter the shipping address into Click-n-Ship if one has been entered by the customer, otherwise, the default is to use the billing address (smart -eh?).

International shipping note:
This mod was completely re-written as of ECT 5.3.5
In this update, I have added international support. You can now upload label information automatically for international shipments via the new USPS services of Priority Mail International and/or International Express Mail (aka EMS).
If want to use the new First Class International service (not supported by Click-n-Ship), you can at least save time and fill out the online 2976 Customs form with address data send directly from your ECT orders.

If you are using anything before 5.6.5 you'll need to email me your current incorders.php file, and I will modify it for you.
Currently, this mod for ecommercetemplates.com versions 5.6.5, 5.7.0, 5.7.1-5.7.6, 5.8.0-5.8.2, 5.9.1-5.9.2 are available for immediate download.
Other versions from recent generations of Ecommerce Templates are available upon request.

Your purchase of this mod means that I will do everything in my power to give you ONE YEAR of support and updates to new versions of EcommerceTemplates. However, if the USPS changes the way their website works, all bets are off. Though very unlikely, please consider that risk before you purchase.

But also note that I designed this mod for my business, and I use it every day - so I have a strong motivation to keep it working and current.

Also: There is a 30 day money back guarantee if you are not satisfied.

Please note that creating mods for ECT is a sideline for me.
When you checkout, you will see a lot of info about artwork and shipping info...
...just ignore that. A link will be provided as soon as you pay so that you can download the mod.

Looking for a cheap supplier of good labels and other shipping supplies?
I use Uline, and I really like their price, service, and selection. You can find some labels that can be used with Click and Ship here: Uline Click-n-Ship Label
Priced at $19 for 400 sheets, they are the cheapest that I have found, and these labels really stick (no peeling up because of their good adhesive).
I am not compensated by Uline in any way, I just think they are a great company. I actually buy all of my boxes, labels, packing materials from them, and they've also made several batches of custom boxes for me.
