What a red ghost can look like

This wall scroll is discounted because of a minor red ghost.

If you are wondering, red ghost refers to a red shadow of the artist's red signature stamp. This is sometimes transfer from a previous painting which happens when the artist signs all of his work at the same time and piles up the paintings before the red ink is dry. It's more common than I would like, and it costs me a lot of money - but I am picky about quality, so my loss is your gain.

This is from a batch of artwork that I bought from a retiring artist. This dancing girl artwork was painted in 1984, but was well-preserved in a tube. I took it to my workshop in Beijing and had this wall scroll made for it. Other than the red ghost issue, it's a classic piece of artwork from a bygone era. It should be sold for $300 or more in its present condition, but I'm a softy. I love bargains and I love providing bargains for others. So I'm selling it below cost.
